3D Multimedia ArtArt Production Experience Reflection
I can document and reflect upon the mini-lessons and art production experiences I completed this semester in ITE 326, Visual Arts, Elementary. I can create a title for this art experience: Under the Sea! I can describe the instructional strategies used as a motivation for creating my own work of art: With this lesson, I was thinking that students were on a unit studying about the ocean theme. Then students would be able to pick an animal that they are interested in doing, and do a mini report on that animal as well. I can cite a HCPS III in the Visual Arts and the Benchmark I feel this lesson meets: Benchmark FA.DP.2.1 Demonstrate understanding of the elements of art and principles of design when creating original works of art I can list the materials I used: • Butcher paper • Sharpie • Pencil & Eraser • Acrylic Paint • Hole Puncher • Yarn • Scissors • Masking Tape • Paint Brush • Cup of water I can reflect on my personal involvement in the creative process during this art experience, and how I would inspire my students to feel positive about this experience: During this time, students are able to pick the animal that they would like to create and then if they have a true interest for the animal that they pick, I believe that they will do their best and research interesting things, because their interest is what is motivating the students. I can modify this experience to provide art instruction for different grade levels. List 2-3 ways: 1- I would, for younger students, have them do this, but maybe have different templates out for them to choose from. Also, I think that the holes would also be pre punched out for them as well. 2- You could also use this project for students to create parts of the solar system, instead of just animals. I can list 2-3 different ways to integrate other subject matter into this lesson: 1- I would incorporate this into science, because with this animal lesson you could talk about food chains. Then if you choose to branch out and do a project on solar systems, you could teach students about the planets. 2- You could also use this for performing arts. After students are done creating, you could have them create an informational skit. I can list 2-3 teaching skills that I can use as a teacher from this lesson. 1- Working together with others. 2- Time Management |
